More Fun Stations @KidsSTOP At Singapore Science Center

Fun day outing to KidsSTOP at Singapore Science Center. They revamped the back area of the place and there were more stations like a slide and ball pit area and a hang and drop experience.

Both kids had a go at it and were thrilled.

Meimei's Amazing Handicraft For 萱萱's School Project

萱萱 didn't do anything other than criticise the first version of the Gardens By The Bay trees just because she thinks it doesn't look like it. I'm amazed by Meimei's patience and endurance to work on this project while judging with my absence due to my Bangalore trip and work. I would have told 萱萱 off and plainly ignored her request for help. 萱萱 doesn't know how lucky she is to have Meimei as her mother. I just hope she learns it as she grows older ... and sooner.

Another Broken Ride

Right after the fire truck, the original first ride our kids had - The Giraffe - broke too.  Glad it lasted for 3 kids but sad that it's gone now. That's how things goes I guess. Kids are growing up so fast and in a blink of an eye, it's changed.

Thankfully in our era we have digital photos so we can reminisce the old times.

Kampong Chai Chee Children's Day Celebration @Heartbeat Bedok

Relax weekend. There was some community activity at Heartbeat celebrating Children's Day. We joined Annie and XY as they were going too. It was very crowded so we didn't stay long. I think the kids managed to get some fun, I hope?

Goodbye To Fire Truck

阳阳 was very sad when the right rear wheel first came off. I tried my best to fix it but the plastic thread holding the wheel has worn out. I tried using the toilet pipe tapes but it only worked for a few days then the wheel will come off again. Nyaong tried with tissue paper and again it worked for a few days.

This is one of 阳阳's favourite toy. He would zoom around the house in it. He uses the storage space in the seat as his own stash box.

Even 萱萱 knows how much 阳阳 loves his car that she drew this picture of it to try and comfort him.

After those few precious days when we "fixed" it 阳阳 has finally come to the realisation that it's time to retire the "fire truck". It's like the last relic of his preschool childhood. It took him a while to come to terms with it but I'm glad he was resilient and strong to face it. His last request for the truck was to take a picture with the wheel. Our little boyboy has grown up!!

Kiddo Talk & Pic Sep 2024

I think we have passed the tipping point of kids being babies. We no longer get cute and interesting phrases or chatter. I guess it's about the right time. 阳阳's going primary school in a couple of months.

My only gripe is that they grow up too fast!!

Running Around At Marina One

Yeeyee recommended we go check out Marina One where there are large open spaces where the children can run around. It's also shaded so we would not be waylaid by bad weather. The kids had fun running around chasing the toy plane. Even Meimei joined in to chase them around. Definitely one to repeat since its practically free.

Heartbeat Swing with 阳阳 and XY

It's so fun watching kids playing and having fun together. This is 阳阳 and XY before school. I think they feed off each other in terms of excitement. I'm glad both have the opportunity to play together. 阳阳 is going primary school next year so it'll be very rare for them to play together once the year turns.

Lantern Festival 2024

We stayed home this year for the Lantern Festival. The pandemic has put a damper on the regular festivities over the past couple of year. I no longer see other children gathering downstairs to light the night with lanterns.

The kids still had lots of fun though. We switched off many of the lights and let the kids roam around with the lanterns. Perfect setting for a mid autumn night.
