A Fishy Beach

Meimei bought a new bigger tank recently and so there was a short period of migration for the fishes. Then last week came the delivery of coloured sand. So now the tanks are layered with them and I think it makes the tanks look more tended.

A Fishy Forest

Hmmm is this an aquatic plants farm? Where are the fishes ;-P It's so crowded it's like trying to spot rodents on a forest walk .... you can't see them!

Spectacular Nightlight

Meimei bought a fancy nightlight for the kids and I got to experience it today. It's back to night calls again for me so I've not been sleeping with the kids the past week.

The kids were very excited to show off all the fancy designs. I especially like the whales in clouds.

A Fishy Expansion

It's so hard to say no to Meimei.

I drove her to 85 today to look at fishes at the pet shop .... I'm complicit.

Meimei couldn't contain her glee and took a picture to share in the family chat while we drove home.

Nyama: "哇，终于得偿所愿“

Yeeyee: "惨了。傻鱼要失宠了。”

So we now have a failed migration which turned into an expansion.

A new bigger was delivered the last couple of days. The plan is to migrate Nabbie to the bigger tank.

 Meimei purposefully 3D printed a red and white basket for Nabby to celebrate National Day together .....

3D Printing At Home

I vaguely recall Meimei telling me that she got a 3D printer from Courts while I was in hospital. I guess it's another new toy to relieve the stress she has been enduring with my illness. I'm glad at least there is something that keeps her mind off of my condition. It seems fun but am concerned if the plastic is really harmless ... oh well time will tell. I suppose with the technology being several years old it should be more stable and safer now? 

A Fishy Bush

There is an explosion of greenery in the fish tank. It's getting crowded ... like a woodland bush.

A Fishy Upgrade

Meimei shared some upgrades on the fish tank. There looks to be like a pump fountain sort of thing and a wooden log.

A Fishy Manifestation

What were buckets of fish in the common toilet has not manifested into a fish tank setup with plants, filtration pumps, hiding blocks and a prime spot on the living room shelf. The last of the fish farm fishes died so Meimei went to buy a fighting fish. The kids have named it "Nebby" *eye-rolls.

A Fishy Business

A fortnight ago the kids went on an excursion with the studycare center to a fish farm and came back with a portable fish tank with 4 fishes each. 阳阳 seems fascinated by them whereas 萱萱 doesn't like it.

Surprisingly Meimei has taken a special interest in the fishes and has been constantly trying to get plants for the tank. We eventually went to a pet shop near our home and bought some. She is like a little kid having something new to play with ... but this time with lots of $$ to fund it. Its a cute side of her I love and adore but need to reel in the expression of it so she doesn't go overboard ;-)

Anyways all of the fishes have died except for one. Hopefully this phase will end soon with its demise!

New AirPods Max 2

Meimei bought me a AirPods Max 2 for our anniversary. I totally forgot about the date and didn't prepare anything to celebrate. Thankfully Meimei's not the type to dwell on this ... or at least she doesn't give me any hard time about it. *kiss!

Lazy Afternoon Of Gaming

A terrific day of fun. Water play in the morning and now Mario World mini gaming in the afternoon. Glad Meimei is also a gamer hehe. I'm not too much into mini games so Meimei had to spend more time with the kids. My ego was already bruised in the morning massacre at the pool so I'm not about to subject myself to more humiliation in Mario.

Out-Gunned

I thinks its been 2 or 3 Christmas since 阳阳 first ask about a water gun. He must have seen other kids playing with them at the pools. And boys being boys ... it is surely exciting to be holding a weapon and shooting water to disturb whatever he can.

So recently we bought a set of 2 rifle type water guns. These are pretty powerful and it actually hurts when you get blasted in the face. Well ... I didn't know that before playing with the kids at Ah Gong Ah Ma's pool. Meimei had bought a pistol version and handed it to me to play with the kids.

Obviously I was over-powered and out-gunned by the 2 rascals. I had to complain to Meimei for putting me up to be slaughtered at the water fight. As a consolation at least she got a good laugh at my misery.

Book Hunt @Barnes & Noble Kenwood Towne Center Cincinnati

Love love love bookstores, especially the big ones. Meimei sent me on a book hunt and I gladly obliged. I just get lost in a bookstore exploring the different genre of books. It brings me back to my young days when I would be a gleeful kid running amok in the bookstore haha. Meimei couldn't find it for a reasonable price in Singapore. The listed price here is a fraction of what it would cost to have it shipped to Singapore.

I tried to find the book but the place is just so big that I couldn't locate the right shelf for it. I made sure I checked online that there was the book before I came. There was a Barnes and Noble just 2 minutes from the hotel but didn't carry this. Eventually I had to enlist help of the staff to find it.

Meimei's Amazing Handicraft For 萱萱's School Project

萱萱 didn't do anything other than criticise the first version of the Gardens By The Bay trees just because she thinks it doesn't look like it. I'm amazed by Meimei's patience and endurance to work on this project while judging with my absence due to my Bangalore trip and work. I would have told 萱萱 off and plainly ignored her request for help. 萱萱 doesn't know how lucky she is to have Meimei as her mother. I just hope she learns it as she grows older ... and sooner.

Running Around At Marina One

Yeeyee recommended we go check out Marina One where there are large open spaces where the children can run around. It's also shaded so we would not be waylaid by bad weather. The kids had fun running around chasing the toy plane. Even Meimei joined in to chase them around. Definitely one to repeat since its practically free.
