It's been close to 2 years since we were at the Zoo. We didn't renew our Zoo membership last year since we didn't think we were coming anytime soon with 2 kids. But now that YY is older and recognises animals we signed up for the park again. This time though we opted for the full 'Friends of the Zoo' package which gives us access to the Zoo, River Safari, Night Safari and Bird Park.
More specifically, we are here because there is TsumTsum event going on at the River Safari and Meimei wants to collect the event collectibles. It seems there are bi-weekly event that runs through to the end of the year and we'll be coming back here several times over the next couple of months.
It was mildly interesting for the kids. There isn't as much animals to see at River Safari as there is at the zoo. It became somewhat a chore towards the end of the walk as it became hotter and the kids were starting to get restless.
We were not the only ones here for the event. TsumTsum attracts a large following and there were many parents lugging their kids along too for the event like us. Unfortunately it seems everyone is more interested in the event activities than looking at the animals. Pity.
