Biting 姐姐 Again

This time its a bad bad one. When I saw it, I knew I had to do something .... more so for myself than it is to actually help in teaching 阳阳 not to bite 萱萱 like that. At some level I feel guilty I couldn't protect 萱萱 from the pain of the bite. I pulled 阳阳 over and gave him a slap on the cheeks together with a stern loud warning never to do it again. I don't think he understood why.

Playdoh In The Ear

We are just came back from KK to extract a piece of Playdoh that had fell into the drums of OO's right ear. How it got there is anyone's guess but it was lucky we discovered it early.

The kids played with Playdoh on Friday and it just so happened that I helped to dig both kid's ear that evening. I was shocked when I saw a bright pink piece of something sitting on 萱萱's eardrums. I immediately screamed for Meimei to come take a look to confirm my suspicion. It was Friday night and we couldn't do anything. It didn't look life-threatening and given the current Covid-19 situation we decided to avoid the Friday crowd at the hospital.

The next morning we went down to KK's A&E to see if the doctors can help to remove the Playdoh.

Unfortunately, they did not have the right apparatus at the A&E and we were told to come back on Monday when the ENT department opens.

So we are back at KK today and after waiting for several hours the doctor finally remove this tiny little Playdoh. We were a couple hundred of dollars lighter due to this micro piece of doh. Arrrgghhh! The kids are not getting Playdoh anytime soon!

Red Rover At Basketball Court

阳阳's getting big for the giraffe push tricycle, his legs looks uncomfortable on it. I brought him down to the basketball court last week and he was dashing and chasing 萱萱 around on it. There was once when he tried to corner at full dash and nearly toppled over to the side. So rather than risk a real accident from happening before doing the right thing, I let him roll around on the red Rover instead. Definitely more stable since it's on 4 wheels instead of 3. Also it's more his height at the legs and visibly more comfortable when he kicks around to move the car.

CCG: Alternate 3* Only Account

I recently started another account on the Asia1 server playing solely with 3* and below units. There's less power creep and angst not having the rare units. I'll be able to fully skill them with ease since 3* summons are the base units on mystic summons. 

Let's see how long I'll stick to this before I get frustrated with the 3* restriction. I fully expect that there may be content I would not be able to beat simply because 3* units tend to be weaker on their base stats and would be hard to compete with 4-5* units, eg. in Arena.

Train Parade

Every night before 阳阳 sleeps, he has to bring in an entire suite of vehicles. He is such a boy, naturally fond and fascinated with everything that has a set of wheels.

Its so crowded that there is no space for the milk and hot water. But I guess if these helps him to sleep, why not. I think it gives him a sense of satisfaction and calms him for the night.

A Puncture On Caddy

I got a nail punctured on the front left wheel on the way to Chai Chee Technopark to buy Bai Nian. I went over a drain access hole and then a warning light came on the dashboard. A message pointed the fault on the front left wheel. I let out a silent curse and quickly parked the car to check it out.

Dammit. Well nothing I can do at the moment. I took a risk and went to get dinner and drove home slowly. After returning home with food I immediately called the Volkswagen roadside helpline for assistance to change out the tyres.

Thankfully the technician arrive in less than an hour. He was a professional and changed the tyres swiftly. I got to chatting and lamented how it would be difficult to get to the service center at Alexandra tomorrow before the Circuit Breaker starts. He kindly advised that there wasn't a need to change the tyres, a simple patching would work and even recommended a nearby tyre shop. I gave him a $5 as a tip when he was done and made my way to have the punctured tyre patch and placed back again.

True enough, the tyre shop was very efficient and took a mere 15 minutes to patch and replace the original tyre back. And it cost a cheap $8 to do so. In all, it was just a $13 cash outlay. The pain of it was the hassle and worry that the puncture caused. Let's hope it doesn't happen anytime soon again.

Taking A Break From Summoners War .... Again

The last time I told a break from Summoners War, it spanned 3 years before I came back to the game again. I don't know if calling it a break this time is fair. I suspect it's more of a quit for good. I had fun the last half year but the gap in rune quality and units from the 3 year break is far too obvious. Unless I sink in ten of thousands of dollars I'll never really compete even at the mid levels, much less the top tier. Naturally there is no reason whatsoever to pay this sort of money in a game. I guess I was playing it while I wait for another which can become my main game.

Since starting Calibria Crystal Guardians, I've not spend much time in Summoners War. I cannot possibly juggle between 2 gacha games which demands so much screen time. Well I did try but more often than not I would ignore Summoners War for Calibria. 

So yeah, bye to Summoners War again ... most likely for good this time.

阳阳's Kinderstella

Today we get to go into Cherie Hearts for a Kinderstella, aka kebo, session in 阳阳's class. He was excited to show us his classroom and the things he plays with. We're happy to see that he is enjoying his time in school. 

Your Occupation

萱萱 and 阳阳 were asked to come to school dressed in an occupation they would like to be in.

Obviously 阳阳 was always going to be in a fireman outfit. We didn't have a jumpsuit but the fireman hat was the perfect prop for the role.

萱萱 is a typical 5 year old. She thinks being a princess is an occupation and insisted in wearing her princess dress haha. We added on the stethoscope to make her a princess doctor!

Happy 5 萱萱!

Little 萱萱 turns 5 today. She is no longer the pouting baby we've love to bits.  A confident, opinionated, stubborn teena... wait ... She is even more now, our 小美女. She still loves the hugs, carry-carry and shower of attention from Daddy and Mummy hehehe.

She seems to have grown up alot now that 弟弟 is also in school. She has the 大姐 role and am embracing it in school. At home, they still quarrel as all siblings do but hey its all good. I wouldn't change anything, she's all we asked for and more. 

Arts & Craft: Leaves On A Tree

Another wonderful kiddo activity that Meimei conjured up. She does magic to keep the children entertained.

OO's First Salon Haircut

What a treat! It's been quite some time since 萱萱 had a haircut from YeeYee. 萱萱 doesn't seem to like to cut her hair now and we had to keep persuading her to have it trimmed so it doesn't cover her eyes.

This is probably how's she's going to get haircuts going forward. I highly doubt she'll let us cut it at home now she's had a taste of salon style cutting.

YY's 3rd & 4th Day In Pre-School

Same old routine these 2 days. He will be happy on the trip to school and start wailing when he reaches school.

Today's the last day Meimei can be in school. Already she has been hiding in corners and trying her best to stay out of sight.

Wednesday was water-play day for PG/PN class. He has this serious frown and you cannot tell if he is having fun or frustrated at this whole situation.

I hope he is enjoying himself and learning new things and getting along with the teachers and classmates. His teacher took a few pictures and shared it with Meimei.

He seems to be doing well enough. Hopefully this continues.

YY's Second Day In Pre-School

2nd day in school and we had 阳阳 in school uniform. His classmates were all in uniform so we thought we had better get him into one too to fit in. He hates the collar and would try to tug at it to 'remove' them.

He was chirpy in the morning but that didn't last long once they reach school.

There were moments when an activity would distract him. Like the music instruments play time. Look at how he held that guitar, he's a natural.

Other times he will go around calling for his 姐姐.Thankfully 萱萱 was very obliging and accommodating with her little brother. She wears it like a badge of honour that she has a 'baby' in school too.

YY's First Day In Pre-School

We've been going around and around about when is a good time to have 阳阳 start school. Nyama doesn't want him to start so early since 萱萱 had a bad time with sickness when she enrolled at 2. She wanted to keep him at home till he was three. Unfortunately she had to go Indonesia to look after her mama so it wasn't really an option to keep him at home.

The corona virus has come to shore though it's been very controlled. That's another big factor that's been playing on our minds. Meimei's reluctant to take the risk of having 阳阳 at school but eventually came to terms with it since 萱萱's going to school anyways too.

Meimei was able to accompany him to school for a couple of days. Like all kids, 阳阳 was afraid of the new environment and kept crying and trying to get comfort from Meimei or 姐姐.

It's adorable seeing him so attached to his big sister but hurts a little inside too to see him so scared and insecure.

The poor fella was even crying during playground time. Nothing was helping to distract him from the fear of the unfamiliar.

Anytime he spots Meimei, he will run and catch her. Such is the sense of wanting that Meimei shared that she felt so bad she wanted very much to just bring him home straightaway.

Thankfully she didn't. 阳阳 has to get used to this and make friends with his classmates. There is no easy way except to be thrown into it. 萱萱 had the same problem and to this day she still doesn't like to go school. We totally expect the same for 阳阳.
