Meimei: 萱萱 is so adorable!

Meimei: omg what happen!? Didi what’s wrong

阳阳: you use to call me adorable

Meimei: but you are still adorable! All my babies are adorable!

阳阳: but last time you say I’m your most adorable baby…(continue to cry 一把鼻涕 一包眼泪)

Meimei: because you are smallest mah that time but I love you right and it’s not only shown by the words I say it’s also the actions I do. how I care for you two how I love you two … 

After a lot of saliva he finally calm down.. 

(20 mins later finally jiejie slept, didi haven’t.. and roll onto my bed, i tell him to move to and face inside fry to sleep.. he whine a bit then say but I need you to…) before he can say “pat Pat” I say no, you have to learn to sleep on ur own

阳阳: see? This is not caring….

Trying not to wake Mama

(Whispering)

萱萱: 阳阳 your pillow dropped on mama

Slowly waking up 阳阳: thank you jiejie

阳阳: mama took my holster!

萱萱: because drop on her bed . Here I blanket for you. I kiss you *kiss

阳阳: thank you jiejie

After a lot of whispering 阳阳 jump onto jiejie bed with jiejie constantly hissing “sssshhhh”

How Does He Even Hear??!!

Over the few short years I've occasionally tried to help 阳阳 dig his ear. It's always been unsuccessful and I can see the ear wax blocking his ear drum. I've always wondered how he is able to hear. Maybe it's just a thin layer covering so he picks up on its vibration? Anyhow, I've tried to dig it out and each time 阳阳 will scream "pain!". My guess was that the ear wax and lodged itself against the ear drum so any movement of the top is causing a vibration or tearing feeling that triggers the pain.

I've been talking about it for quite some time now and finally in the recent episodes of illnesses we obtain a referral letter from Dr Ang for an ear specialist at Novena. So Meimei and I took leave to bring him there to check out the wax. I wasn't in the doc's room as 萱萱 was skirmish about it and I had to bring her out to the waiting area.

When it was done, Meimei had took some pictures and it was amazing .... How does he even hear with these stuffed in his ear??! And this was not all of it. These was what the doc could pick out using his twisters. There were more that came out through the micro vacuum. Look at the size of the wax ... I'm guessing these are the top layers covering both ears. Gosh ....

Hopefully now that the wax are out he can 'hear' us better and follow instructions haha So glad we got this done before it becomes a bigger problem.

New Apple Toys

I have to make another trip to Bangalore this weekend and decided to upgrade my gear for the trip. Make sense since I would be traveling quite a bit this year. 

The first item is the new Macbook Air which is on the new M1 chip. Feels much better weight distribution than the old Air.

To help with the noise on the flight I got a pair of AirPods Pro which has noise cancellation so I can rest my weary eardrums from the loud blast of the aircraft engine the entire journey. Another plus is that they fit tightly in my ear and doesn't drop when I jump. Very important feature as I had to constantly push the old AirPods in when I went jogging at the gym at the hotel.

Uniform For Work

USD250 for 6 pieces (minimum order to ship) of Nike's Dri-FIT Micro Pique Polo Shirt in Navy Blue imprinted with the company's name and logo. This would probably be the last thing anyone buys but I kinda like the idea that there is a company endorsed polo shirt I can wear to work everyday without any negative recourse nor critique.

It took the vendor close to a month to deliver them to Singapore. You can't tell how nice they were on the website but holding it I can tell they would be very comfortable even in Singapore's weather. Plus luckily I ordered the large size which turned out to the American size and fits nicely on my shoulders. Overall a great buy in my mind even if USD250 for a company uniform is still way steep for most.

Work Travels: After 2 Weeks In Bangalore

Flying home this morning. The below sums up my take of spending these 2 weeks in Bangalore.

Ate at the hotel everyday except last Thursday night when we had a Finance team get-together. I made the mistake of having ice with my drink and proceeded to hug the toilet bowl when I got back to the room. Was gagging on Friday morning in the shower and tried to have breakfast. But I had to dash back to the room after just a few bites of bread. Thankfully Meimei bought me Modium and charcoal pills so I popped those and slept through the day.

Here are some of the hotel meals ... I miss home cook food so much!

Besides dull meals, the whole place is like an industrial town with many foreign company campus peppered around the area. And around the campuses are just makeshift stalls selling tidbits and drinks. *Yawn ...

Work Travels: 2 Weeks In Bangalore

2 weeks in Bangalore for a workout. Most of the travels for this project will now be here since we switched vendors and most of the consultants are now based here. I can't complain since its a 4 and half hour flight for me versus the 28 hour journey the other BFLs have to make from Cincinnati. I arrived on Sunday morning and we are staying at the Grand Sheraton Bengaluru Whitefield.

I've been having a weird tummy feelings since Sunday. They say it's the water and its probably it. We have been having meals at the hotel so its pretty safe, even ice works out ok for everyone on the team. The silly part though is the off day we have to observe on Wednesday due to local elections. And what's worst is that there are 'Dry Days' declared for the week where no alcohol can be served. They should have moved the workout by a week ...

Anyways it is what it is. We try to make the most of it. I go for morning jogs at the gym and then breakfast by the pool. The rest of the team have lounge access so they have breakfast there. I don't fancy it since I'm soaking wet and the breeze at the poolside helps greatly with drying me up before I go for the shower.

Outing With Nua Gang & Kids

How things have changed with time and kids. I remember joining Meimei for meals with the Nua gang. We were young then but now outings are with kids which are an added bonus. It's fun for the kids as they have companions to socialise.
